New necklace finished

I met up with some friends for a beading night. The kind of night to press through and finish a project. It's up for debate how much gals talking and sippin wine really get done, but we were all diligent and got some things made. I finished this necklace that was started probably 3 months ago. And I like it! I used a mix of beads lying around from previous projects and delighted in combining them with antique brass chain and findings. This stuff keeps me busy

I've been spending way too much time working with this stuff. I need to get out more. But we have been busy as bees shipping and packing chain and components to match. BTW, antique brass chain is a hotty right now and predict that this will continue through the holidays. More later.

I grew up with alot great cooks in my family. My grandmother spoiled everyone with her potato salad. Almost to the point of being potatoe salad snobs. We would say po-tay-tah salad and there was no way we could eat other po-tay-tah salad. And buying pre-made from a store or local deli would be treasonous. I have found that the men folk really like this for a side dish and my guys are no different. My hubby heard about this version on our local am radio station, 55krc.com, where a local cooking celebrity favorite, Marilyn Harris, gave out a recipe for a great mayo free Lemon Dill Potatoe Salad. I used all the herbs in our garden, but cheated a bit by not using the suggested potatos and I only had a smidge of chicken broth and it was still delicious! A great holiday weekend recipe...give it a try.
